A struggling student just trying to get an education
A cut to penalty rates would impact me as I am a student who attends university in order to further my education, as a future scientist. First, penalty rate cuts would require me to work more hours, thereby reducing the amount of hours available to attend university lectures, tutorials, and workshops and reducing the amount of time available for studying. This would ultimately negatively affect my overall university GPA, limiting my future career prospects. I know of many other students also I’m my predicament.
Please don’t cut penalty rates, as you are also effectively reducing my future potential to make a difference in the world as a scientist.
